Wajih Mashadi

Wajih wears the dress of northern Pakistan, made for mountains and cold. His salwar kameez is the national dress. The waistcoat over it is for warmth, as Pashtun and Balti people have worn it. The garments are wool and cotton, with the embroidery of the region.

His pakol is a wide-brimmed wool hat, one of the best-known symbols of the north. It keeps out wind and snow and marks where he is from. On his feet are Peshawari chappals, open-toed sandals.
